The Stacey Project started as an experimental fiction project - a story told in the form of flyers pasted around Boston.
The posters were varied in their design and messaging, but they all addressed an imaginary character called Stacey,
who had been cheated on by her boyfriend. The posters included a phone number and website asking pedestrians to call in.
Over 60 people have left voicemails for Stacey, hundreds visited the website, and hundreds of thousands
more wrote out their theories on forums and TikTok videos.
